Percentage of Stories Achieving National Coverage
A more accurate gauge of this is the percentage of stories produced in a given year which result in national coverage. Percentage of Stories Achieving Coverage on the Web
While the conventional news media newspapers, magazines, radio and television continue to be mainstays for conveying information, a growing majority of Americans are turning to the World Wide Web as a primary source of information. The graph below shows our growth in web coverage of OSU research stories over the past three years.

One evolution that has occurred in the last several years has been the production of research-related editorial products that differ from our traditional research story focused on research results. These include research features, stories for both the faculty-staff newspaper onCampus and the daily electronic newsletter, OSUToday, and splash pages on the universitys front door: -- http://www.osu.edu.
